Dr. Anil K. Ohri
Founder & Chief Executive
Anil is a medical doctor with twenty years of healthcare and business management experience spanning a career as a medical officer and surgeon in the British Army and NHS. Anil graduated from Southampton in 1989 winning five undergraduate prizes. He then served with the Royal Army Medical Corps on operational tours in the Gulf War, Kenya and Nepal, before returning to the UK to join a surgical training rotation in London.
Anil left medicine ten years ago, joining the healthcare investment banking arm of Credit Suisse First Boston, before serving as Chief Executive for 2 years of the European joint venture arm of MedCath Corporation - a multi-billion dollar US cardiac services company with 10 specialist heart hospitals, fixed-site cardiology centres and the largest fleet of mobile and modular cardiac catheterisation labs in the US. Anil holds an MBA from London Business School and founded Regent's Park Heart Clinics in December 2002.
Daniel Oberholzer
Director of Corporate Development
Prior to joining Regent's Park, Daniel worked in a variety of commercial and financial roles for HCA hospitals, the largest group of private hospitals in London and for Medical Diagnostic and Imaging, a leading provider of diagnostic and imaging services in the UK. Daniel has attained a wealth of experience in the independent cardiovascular healthcare sector, which includes experience in working with the NHS on various projects.
Daniel is well experienced in defining business system requirements, designing and delivering of solutions, as well as the implementation of consistent operational processes. He has a passion for creating high quality, value based organisations. Daniel's responsibilities include strategy, business development and operations.
Daniel holds degrees in Commerce and Business Management from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Dr. Peter Schofield
Clinical Director
Dr. Peter Schofield is currently a Consultant Cardiologist at Addenbrookes & Papworth Hospitals, Cambridge. He was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist in 1989 and is currently the Clinical Chairman of the Anglia Cardiac Network. The network is responsible for the strategic direction and provision of cardiac services within Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Peter’s subspecialty interest is in percutaneous coronary intervention procedures. His experience in this area covers some 25 years of practice. In recent years, he has carried out up to 750 procedures per year with a success rate of greater than 98%. He holds a Level 10 National Clinical Excellence Award.
Peter has published over 150 research papers in peer reviewed journals. He has also written 5 books on cardiovascular disease. His major research interest over the years has been the evaluation of new technologies in the cardiovascular field. Most of this work has been published in peer reviewed journals. As a result of this, many techniques have now been incorporated into routine clinical practice.
Peter is a former Secretary of the British Cardiac Society and a Council Member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
Bryn Webber
Cardiac Services Director
Bryn is a cardiac nurse specialist with a focus on interventional cardiology. Bryn joined the company in 2004 and has spent his last four years in both a clinical and managerial role, working in our cath labs, and in the areas of operations and venture development. Bryn trained at the Wessex Cardiac Centre and holds a nursing degree from Southampton University.
Andrew White
Lead Cardiac Radiographer
Andrew has over twenty five years of solid clinical and business management experience in cardiothoracic radiology across NHS hospitals. He has been working for the last 25 years in the Wessex Cardiothoracic Centre at Southampton General Hospital, where until recently he worked full time as a manager in cardiothoracic radiology. He has been on secondment from the NHS to RPHC since 2003.
Michael Octave
Lead Cardiac Physiologist
Michael has over ten years of cardiac physiology experience at leading cardiac centres including Papworth and the Harefield and Royal Brompton Hospitals. Michael is fully trained and accredited in both complex electrophysiology and pacing, echocardiography and all types of interventional cardiology. Michael has passed the North American Society for Pacing & Electrophysiology (NASPE) exam. Michael has been on secondment from the Harefield & Royal Brompton Hospitals NHS Trust to RPHC since 2007.
Katie Rompca
Corporate Administration
Katie previously worked in the utilities and energy sector. She is a certified accountant who splits her time between working at the Cambridge Heart Clinic, a subsidiary of Regent’s Park, and assisting the company with its corporate administration activities.
Dr. Tom Burke
Non-Executive Director, Advisory Board
Tom is the President & Chief Executive Officer of LeTorneau Technologies one of North America's leading oilfield service providers and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rowan Companies (NYC:RDC), a NYSE listed company with a market capitalisation of over US$5 billion. Tom previously worked for Mckinsey & Co., as a strategy consultant and at Schlumberger Limited, a US$17bn oil and gas conglomerate, where he held various positions including Corporate Strategist, Operations Manager and Field Engineer in China, Mongolia and Indonesia. Tom has a Harvard MBA with High Distinction where he was elected a Baker Scholar and holds a PhD in robotic engineering from Oxford University. Tom joined Regent's Park in its founding year of 2002.
