Regent’s Park combines the clinical expertise of heart specialists with the business acumen of professional managers with experience across the areas of healthcare finance, strategy and operations. This dynamic partnership is supported by a medical advisory board of senior consultant cardiologists led by our clinical director.

Our perspectives have been shaped from our experiences across a diverse range of public, academic and industry sectors; including NHS and military hospitals, independent healthcare organisations, blue-chip business schools, strategy consulting and healthcare corporate finance.

DR. ANIL K. OHRI

Founder & Chief Executive

Anil is a doctor with over twenty years of healthcare and business management experience spanning a career as a medical officer and surgeon in the British Army and NHS. Anil graduated from Southampton in 1989 winning five undergraduate prizes. He then served with the Royal Army Medical Corps on operational tours in the Gulf War, Cyprus, Kenya and Nepal, before returning to the UK to join a surgical training rotation in Oxford and then London. He was awarded a surgical research scholarship from Yale University and has published research papers in the areas of oncology and surgery in a number of international medical journals. He left medicine to join the healthcare investment banking arm of Credit Suisse First Boston, before serving as Chief Executive of the European joint venture arm of MedCath Corporation – a multi billion dollar cardiac services company with 11 specialist heart hospitals and 32 fixed-site cardiology centres across the US.

Anil holds an MBA from London Business School (LBS) and founded Regent’s Park in December 2002. He is the recipient of a number of business awards including the 2010 Accomplished Entrepreneur Award from LBS, and the 2011 Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement from the Independent Healthcare Industry.  He has developed a broad range of expertise that enables him to bridge the complex communities of finance and healthcare. He is particularly expert in the areas of strategic and financial planning, with a special emphasis on organisational restructuring and disruptive innovation. He is frequently invited to lecture at international meetings and advises a number of charity and private equity organisations. Anil is also a mentor on the LBS Entrepreneurship Summer School and recently judged the 2015 LBS Healthtech Challenge. Anil is shortly due to complete the Business Innovations in Global Healthcare Program at Harvard Business School.

DR. ALISTAIR LINDSAY

Director, Healthcare Strategy Division

Dr. Alistair Lindsay is a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK.  He joined Regent’s Park in 2013 to head-up its healthcare strategy division. He leads a team of strategy consultants that provide our NHS and industry clients with innovative solutions based on deep sector insight, analytical rigor, and an objective perspective.

Alistair joined the Royal Brompton in 2010 from Oxford where he was the John Radcliffe Hospital Cardiovascular Fellow. His main interest is the use of both invasive and non-invasive techniques to diagnose heart problems and to guide treatment.  In particular he has experience in the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT).  He has published widely and participated in both local and international studies on the diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerosis. Dr. Lindsay currently serves on the editorial board of the cardiovascular journal Heart, for which he serves as the digital media editor and contributes to the journal’s blog.

Alistair holds degrees in Molecular Biology and Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, a DPhil from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from London Business School. In 2010 he was named “Young Trainee of the Year” by the Royal Society of Medicine.

BRYN WEBBER

Cardiac Services Director

Bryn is a cardiac nurse specialist with a focus on interventional cardiology. Bryn joined the company in 2004 and has spent his last ten years in both a clinical and managerial role, working in our cath labs, managing service operations and leading key areas of new venture development. Bryn is experienced in defining clinical business system requirements, designing and delivering innovative care solutions, as well as the implementation of consistent operational processes. He has a passion for creating high quality, patient focused care pathways.

Bryn trained at the Wessex Cardiac Centre and holds a nursing qualification from Southampton University and PRINCE2® project management accreditation.

DR. DUSHAN GUNASEKERA

Chief Financial Officer

Dush is a medical graduate of St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London with a wealth of experience in the healthcare financial services sector. He left medicine to become a healthcare investment banker and has worked for the last fifteen years in a variety of leadership roles in Corporate Finance with Citigroup & Deloitte. Citigroup is a US multinational financial services company with revenues exceeding $70 billon with 16,000 offices worldwide. Deloitte is one of the world’s top professional service firms providing audit, tax and corporate finance services.

Dush holds an MBBS degree from the University of London and MBA from the University of Oxford.
